I also have issues with my brain, they have done several overnight EEG's to figure what's going on. I have had 3 strokes and have a blood disorder.

Now you say you get a LOT of sleep? Like how much per day? My problem is when I sleep I do not ever reach REM or any type of restful state. Because of that I suffer some pretty weird stuff cause the body NEEDS rest.

I'll trade you conditions. LOL. I could really use sleep!!! My suggestion for you would be exercise if possible. Something that really gets your blood pumping. After doing that 3 times a week at least you should feel more energetic and not as sleepy.

Kim it makes me sad to hear your story, since I have a brother with specialties. Bad things always happen to great people. Love ya lots, on the other hand i have none but I only get between 3-4 hours of sleep a day. My days are long trust me, once I wake up I can not go back to bed at all till night time.

My brother at times scares the crap out of me, in 2002 he had a seizure. He is so brittle as you can think of bread crumbling. I love the little guy, it just sucks sometimes trust me. I hate disabilities sometimes, I cant even discribe the remorse I feel when I hear your story.

Well so far since moving to a different place I am at least comatose for the night. Don't know if the extreme tiredness is doing it or what. Sleeping on a air matress for now didn't have help for the move and new place is smaller so my bed wasn't going to fit. But having some wierd stuff going on with vertigo. Major at times. Fell a few times because I was so dizzy. But at least I appear to rest. Doc visit coming up soon so hoping for some answers.

Kirby......ya are one cool dude and I appreciate all your comments. You are right sometimes bad things happen to good people, But maybe there is a reason for this? I've been searching for decades for reasons for weird stuff going on with me. My family and friends swore I was a hypochondriac. When the strokes happened and some blood tests come back showing I had some type of autoimmune disorder finally family and friends took me serious and felt guilty for all the times they didn't believe me. Now in conjunction with the blood clotting disorder where i got a bad gene from my mom and my dad they feel guilty, but isn't their fault.

A lot of things have changed in my life, for the better and for the worse. I wouldn't change a thing though. It makes me who I am............

(((hug))) autoimmune conditions *stink*. So does the lack of sleep. I have had similar issues and sleep studies say that I wake up 7 times an hour. Blargh. If we could get a fairy to sprinkle good health and REM dust on us, I'd be very happy!

I wish you better health, Kim!

My problem with sleep is that if I don't wake up naturally, I get panicy and if you were the one who woke me up I hope you are not with in punching distance.
